PCA SKIN® Announces Initiative Supporting Arizona Non-Profit, to aid in the Production of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Healthcare Workers and First Responders

“Mask for PPE” Initiative will Donate 100% of Proceeds from PCA SKIN Mask Sales to FABRIC’s non-profit Arizona Apparel Foundation during April

PCA SKIN®, leader in chemical peel treatments and highly effective daily skincare products, is partnering with FABRIC and its non-profit AZ Apparel Foundation that is using their resources to produce FDA approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during the COVID-19 health emergency.

From April 13th to 30th, PCA SKIN will be donating 100% of proceeds from their daily care mask sales on pcaskin.com, professional drop ship orders and on participating e-tailer websites including Dermwarehouse, to FABRIC's 501c3 non-profit, Arizona Apparel Foundation. Proceeds up to $10,000 will assist FABRIC in ramping up production at their Arizona facility to produce PPE. PCA SKIN daily care masks include Detoxifying Mask, Hydrating Mask, Revitalizing Mask, Purifying Mask and Pore Refining Treatment – a range of at home solutions to address a variety of skincare concerns.

“The world is facing an unprecedented health emergency and we want to do our part to support the front-line healthcare providers. We are amazed by the work our Arizona neighbor company, AZ Apparel Foundation, is doing to help alleviate the PPE shortages and hope this initiative will help further fund their efforts.” said PCA SKIN Chief Executive Officer, Joanna Zucker.

As a community resource for apparel entrepreneurs and a manufacturer of sewn products, FABRIC has received many requests to provide millions of PPE items to healthcare facilities and first responders. They are working to ramp up efforts to help mitigate this PPE shortage and have received the FDA certification needed to produce Reusable Isolation Gowns and other items. Equally important, they have been able to procure the scarce FDA-approved fabric that is required to make these gowns allowing them to be laundered and reused 300 times.

“We are thrilled to be recipients of PCA SKIN’s generosity” said FABRIC/AZ Apparel Foundation’s Co-Founder Angela Johnson. “This kind of thoughtful support from community partners is what will enable us to do our part in keeping our healthcare workers safe.”

PCA SKIN is also encouraging donation to FABRIC from customers beyond their contribution. To learn more about FABRIC  and their PPE efforts, or to make a donation to their GoFundMe account, visit FABRIC Blog.
