advanced peeling techniques for complex skin conditions: a hands-on course

Many patients are affected by a combination of skin conditions. Acne sufferers, for example, may also have post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), while those with both rosacea and mature skin may also experience breakouts. Implementing multi-faceted treatment plans and daily care regimens to address all the complexities of these challenging skin conditions is key to successful patient outcomes. By combining exfoliation methods, using unique ingredient blends and employing advanced application techniques, it is possible to achieve the clearing of multiple conditions simultaneously. During this one-day seminar we will discuss melasma, acne-induced PIH, adolescent acne, adult acne, papulopustular rosacea and aging skin with deep wrinkling. This seminar will include a review of our past clinical trials addressing these types of challenging skin conditions. We will focus on the advanced protocols using a combination of PCA SKIN professional treatments to deliver optimal results. This course also will provide each attendee the opportunity to perform four of the advanced treatment protocols discussed. In addition, each attendee will receive an advanced face, and hand or arm treatment.

Course Outline:
  • review melasma, acne-induced PIH, adolescent acne, adult acne, papulopustular rosacea and aging skin with deep wrinkling
  • review PCA SKIN clinical trials addressing these conditions and the advanced treatments performed and daily care regimens employed
  • learn how and when to combine PCA SKIN professional treatments to treat challenging skin conditions
  • discuss the variables and factors determining peel depth
  • learn advanced peeling techniques
  • each attendee will perform four PCA SKIN advanced treatment protocols
  • each attendee will receive an advanced treatment performed on their face, hands or arms
Deadline for registration is 10 days prior to the seminar date. You and your model will receive daily care products appropriate for your skin type to prep your skin prior to receiving a treatment during the seminar.

In order for everyone to be able to perform a total of four treatments, you will be required to bring a model and be willing and able to receive a treatment during class. Please refer to the preparation for a peel treatment sheet included with your registration materials, so that your skin is properly prepared for a treatment.

The advanced peeling techniques for complex skin conditions: a hands-on course is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

In order to ensure that all PCA SKIN Certified Professionals have the most most up-to-date scientific and technical information available, we require that each attendee at the skin biology & chemical peel seminar take and pass an online certification exam prior to receiving their certificate. The exam is open book and based on what the educator teaches in the seminar. Once certified, re-certification will be required on a bi-annual basis beginning December 31, 2011. Attending this new hands-on course and passing the associated exam will qualify you for re-certificaiton with PCA SKIN for 2 years.
